A few weeks ago we went on a big adventure with Grammy. We walked across the ferry and had lunch at Ivar's. The girls were both delightful at the restaurant, it left me hopeful for a future of eating out. When we were back on the island we rode the bus up the hill to the car. Ada said many times, "Spring is here and I am so happy!" and ending it with a ride on The Transit was a big hit. The whole outing was just about perfect-just about. Ada started the trip with 3 metallic marbles in her pocket and 2 managed to fall out between disembarking the ferry and entering Ivar's. Although she was disappointed Ada was a trooper about the whole thing.
Last night at dinner Ada said, "Maybe my marbles rolled down the hill, into the sea. Maybe a fish or a whale or a dolphin ate them. Maybe we can put on our diving clothes and go into the sea and they will open their mouth and we can get them." What a sweet little person, I am tempted to get some diving clothes on and hit the Sound-it might do us all good to have some marbles back around here!
